About HomeFREA

HomeFREA is a general contractor focused on remodeling, additions, repairs, and finish work. Our role is to bring structure to what can otherwise feel chaotic: define the scope, coordinate the trades, and keep the project moving in the right order. Homeowners hire us when they want clear expectations, a clean jobsite, and communication that stays consistent from the first walk-through to the final punch list. We serve homeowners across Raleigh and Cary and the surrounding communities, and we tailor planning to the realities of each home and each scope.

What we do

We manage projects end to end. That means planning the work, coordinating the schedule across trades, and making sure each step is ready before the next one begins. Depending on your home and goals, that can look like a full remodel or a targeted update that still needs tight sequencing.

If your project includes finish work as part of a larger scope, we also coordinate services such as flooring installation, tile installation, drywall repair and painting, doors and trim, and cabinet installation.

How we run projects

A successful build is usually the result of good decisions made early. We focus on a few fundamentals that keep projects predictable.

Before work starts, we document what is included, what is excluded, and what assumptions affect pricing. This matters because two proposals can look similar while covering very different work. Clear scope helps prevent surprises and makes it easier to compare quotes.

If selections affect price or schedule, we flag that early. Kitchens and baths are good examples, since cabinets, countertops, tile, and fixtures often drive lead times.

Most delays happen when trades overlap incorrectly or a step starts before prerequisites are complete. We plan the order of work based on dependencies. For example, cabinet installation affects countertop templating, which affects backsplash timing, which affects finish plumbing and electrical.

The same approach applies to multi-room projects, where flooring, paint, trim, and punch list closeout need a practical sequence.

We treat jobsite protection and cleanup as a daily requirement, not an optional add-on. The specific approach depends on the home and the scope, but the goal stays the same: protect adjacent areas, limit dust where possible, and keep access safe and reasonable.

We do not treat punch list work as an afterthought. Near the end of the project, we walk the space, document finish items, and close them out so the job ends cleanly. If you want to see examples of scope highlights and finishes, our portfolio is the best place to start.
